our stance on drugs during a ritual

-First of all I do agree it depends on the group whether this is allowed or
not, for many new age people it is certainly the case, and is certainly true
with these so called "satanists" who do things in the name of Satan, punk
satanism as the hail priest calls it. As far as with us, not only do we discourage
the use of drug use during rituals because for one its illegal to be in
possession of it and can give the coven a bad name and reputation, but it can
also hinder one's spiritual growth and connection to the spiritual but it can be
nightmarish to do if the spiritual is insistent on getting through to you. We
will not tolerate such things happening in our coven period. For example, let's
say you have a major headache and take pain medication, chances are if your wise
you will not do homage giving that night, or anything dealing with the spiritual
or magical aspect, yet sometimes even when you play it safe, take your medicine
and go to bed, things happen. This happened to me once, and I did not even do
ritual that night, the nightmares were so bad I woken up sweating and nearly
crying. Basically saying if the spiritual wishes to tell you something they will
get through drugs or no drugs and it will be harder to handle if your on
something. Now that was only pain medicine and it happened on a night I did not
plan to do ritual, can you imagine what could happen if the drug was an illegal
one?
